The last manga i read was named Coelacanth, and was pretty awesome. I find it on Mangafox , on a publication in Facebook.
- What´s this all about? well, this is the story of Hisano, a girl who allucinates a sheep...a goddamn talking sheep. All starts ten years ago, when a explosions ends with Hisano´s home. That day a boy in a bike hit her, and the only think he left is a toy scale, that incident make her late for returning home, so it saves her life from dying burned on the building she was living. This toy scale becames her own charm, as her mother says, because it saves her life. Years later she find a guy, named Yanari Yukinagi. who will be the possible fire-starter of the building, but nothing its clear when it comes to him. Even when the sheep tries to stop her, Hisano can´t help but fall in love of this mysterious boy. Who really is him? There is a new murder on the city, it was him? Yukinari has reason, and a perfect alibi...did he? Also, there is that Kurumi girl, who seems to know Yunkinari´s secrets, what is she to Yukinari?
- Good Points: The end is really unpredictible, a pretty good story, swims trough the characters personalities and sad stories without becoming on masochist diary of the typical shoujo main character. Also, the gender role is not strongly attached at the usual sexism on shoujos, where the girl is totally weak and her only way to ends her pain is being rescued for her (in this case) murder-suspect-prince charming. Also, is not a straight-serious story, just to make it less heavy and show that Hisano is still able to smile and being human. A well written story, ends at the perfect time.
- Bad points: Some parts about the Kurumi personality seems to be missing, also Kentarou (Hisano´s bestfriend, who have a crush on her) its too much of a "support character", who forgets himself and his feelings for her, to help Hisano on her way to prove the so-called innocence of Yukinari (she desperately wants to believe on his innocence). Kentarou just exist on this story with the sole purpose of help Hisano.
- Final Comment: Is this the kind of shoujo with a love story that will make my heart melt? well, if you are looking for two teens who lost all their hopes and wants to end their pain together through the "i want to dissapear from this world" way, well, yes, this is the kind of story you are looking at. But just to be honest, this manga is not about their romance, or how Hisano beats the shit out of Kentarou´s feelings, this manga is about a murder, a new one connected with the explosion on Hisano´s old appartment building, and its pretty awesome. If you are looking for a deep romance, well, you should look somewhere else.
